Class 373 Eurostar, Waterloo

2007 was the last year for Eurostars using Waterloo International station, after 13 years of operation. 373019 (on the 14.13 to Brussels) and 373212 stand there on 23 June.

Class 40 40145, Chapel en le Frith

On 15 September preserved Class 40 40145 "East Lancashire Railway" operated a railtour around Northwest England, visiting Buxton and Morecambe. It is pictured here approaching Chapel en le Frith on the Manchester to Buxton leg of the tour.

Class 153 at Mansfield

A pair of Class 153 single-car units, with 153356 at the rear, calls at Mansfield with the 14.56 Nottingham to Mansfield Woodhouse Central Trains service on 23 July.

Class 91 York

91126 "York Minster" stands in York station at the head of the 07.00 King’s Cross to Newcastle on 3rd November. The GNER franchise ended in December 2007.

Class 43 HST Carlisle

GNER HST, with power car 43107 "Tayside" leading, stands at Carlisle on 3rd November, with a 10.20 Newcastle to Edinburgh service. ECML services were being diverted via Carlisle on this day due to engineering works on the direct route via Berwick. The GNER branding has been removed from the bodyside of the power car in readiness for the end of the franchise a few weeks later, when National Express took over.
