GBRf's sixteen Class 69 locomotives have been rebuilt from Class 56s, and have been painted in a variety of liveries. 69009 "Western Consort" is in the maroon livery of the former "Western" diesel-hydraulics, and is seen here at Peterborough with a Doncaster to Whitemoor Yard permanent-way train on 22 May.

The 4-car Class 455 electric units have been the workhorses of South London inner suburban lines since the mid 80s. After 40 years in service they are being phased out. 5729 was still in service on 5 December 2025, seen at Raynes Park with the 10.54 London Waterloo - Guildford via Epsom.

The much-delayed Class 701 'Arterio' units began service with South Western Railway in 2024, and many more were introduced during 2025. 701051 approaches Vauxhall with the 10.30 Waterloo - Kingston - Waterloo circular on 5 December.
