Bosnia & Herzegovina

Each of the two "entities" in Bosnia & Herzegovina has its own railway company. Železnice Republike Srpske (ŽRS) operates in Republika Srpska; Željeznice Federacije Bosne i Hercegovine (ŽFBH) operates in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

ZRS Class 441 at Slavonski Samac This is actually in Croatia, at the border station of Slavonski Šamac. Bosnian (ŽRS) locomotive 441-529 has just been attached to the single-coach 09.30 Budapest to Sarajevo, on 29 April 2008. This locomotive worked the train as far as Doboj.
ZFBH Class 441 at Doboj This photo also shows the Budapest to Sarajevo train, at Doboj. ŽFBH locomotive 441-307 has taken over for the remainder of the journey to Sarajevo. The normal load for this train is 2 coaches.

ZFBH Class 661 at Novi Grad ŽFBH 661-275 waits to depart from Novi Grad, with the 11.55 to Bihač on 25 September 2009.
ZRS Class 813 at Doboj ŽRS diesel unit 813-043 at Doboj, with the 15.28 to Tuzla on 25 September 2009.
